A Flintlock Blunderbuss by Heylin of London, Circa 1760. With brass barrel belled at the muzzle, stamped with London proofs and Heylins barrel smith mark, decorated with foliage at the breech and signed ‘HEYLIN CORNHILL LONDON’ within an elongated tear-drop, steel grooved breech engraved with scrolling foliage (engraving refreshed) brass border engraved lock decorated with a stand of arms at the tail, fitted with sliding safety catch, steel cock, full-stocked in walnut with raise apron around the tang and lock, beautiful gilt brass furniture comprising cast and chased side-plate, butt guard, stand of arms escutcheon, engraved trigger guard and turned ram-rod pipes, horn tipped ramrod.
