A Fine & Rare Tutaneg Mounted Blunderbuss by T. Richards. WIth gilt-brass three-stage octagonal to round barrel, belled at the muzzle, decorated with flower heads at the intersection and engraved with scrolling foliage at the breech, stamped Tower of London private proofs, border engraved steel tang decorated with foliate engraving, unusual tutaneg lock, border engravers and signed, ;T RICHARDS’ fitted with sliding safety catch and decorated with a flower head at the tail of the lock, full-stocked in walnut with raised apron around the tang, brass mounts comprising foliate engraved side-plate, oval escutcheon decorated with a bird, foliate engraved butt-plate and trigger guard decorated with foliage on the bow and pineapple finials, turned ramrod pipes and brass tipped ramrod.
