A Fine Cased Transitional Revolver by Gibbs of Bristol. With blued octagonal sighted poly groove rifled barrel retained by a wedge, engraved around the muzzle and signed, ‘GEORGE GIBBS 20 CLARE STREET BRISTOL’ case hardened cylinder numbered from ‘1’ to ‘6’, case hardened scroll engraved action, hammer and trigger guard, finely chequered walnut butt with fluted oval butt-plate with trap, retaining all original finish: in lined and fitted oak case with accessories including powder flask, bullet mould (a replacement) loading rod etc, with George Gibbs trade label; the exterior of the lid with circular vacant brass escutcheon.
