A Cabaset, Circa 1590
A ‘Spanish’ Cabaset, Circa 1590. Formed in one piece with an almond shaped crown rising to a shirt stalk at its apex, downturned narrow brim with inward turn accompanied by a narrow recessed border, the base of the crown encircled by fourteen large round headed lining rivets (replacements) with a lovely blued patina overall.
