A Blunderbuss Pistol
A Rare Waters Patent Flintlock Box-Lock Blunderbuss Pistol by John Waters & Co. No. 503, Circa 1785. With belled brass barrel and action in one piece, the former with two mouldings at the muzzle, side mounted horn ramrod and sprung bayonet beneath, with spring locking catch on one side and release trigger within the engraved trigger guard, border engraved action inscribed Waters & Co. in script on the right side and Patent above the serial number on the left, engraved thumb-piece safety catch, figured butt, Tower private proof marks.
