A Composite 17th Century Spanish Cup-Hilt Rapier. With tapering double edged blade of flattened diamond section, cut with a fuller on both sides, stamped ‘BASTIAN’ on one side and ‘RHART’ on the other, characteristic dish hilt, fluted and decorated with line engraving, elongated quillons (this part a replacement) with basic line engraving, plain wooden grip and chiselled globular pommel with button.
