A Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistol by Oakes of London. With belled three-stage octagonal to round barrel, fitted with a sprung bayonet below and ramrod to the left, brass box-lock action, engraved ‘Oakes’ within an oval surrounded by stands of arms to the left and ‘London’ within an oval surrounded by stands of arms to the right, fitted with sliding safety catch that also locks the pan, slab sided walnut grip.
