A Flintlock Mail Coach Pistol by Harding. With swamped brass barrel, signed in full along the top flat towards the breech, ‘J. HARDING BOROUGH LONDON. G’ stamped with London proofs, the muzzle has been scrubbed clean (I assume this was done if/when the pistol was sol out of service) plain steel tang, signed (rubbed) flat bevelled lock, fitted with sliding safety catch and stepped at the tail, figured walnut full-stock, with rounded butt cap, brass side-plate, trigger guard and ramrod pipes, with original horn tipped ramrod with worm. In untouched sleepy condition overall.
