A Cased Irish Over & Pistol by Kavanagh of Dublin. With browned sighted barrels, engraved with the address along the top-flat, ‘4 Lr ORMOND QUAY DUBLIN’ and decorated with a foliate spray at the breech, profussely engraved foliate tang and hinged back-strap, revealing cavities for caps and balls, border engraved back-action locks, signed and decorated with sprays of foliage, cocks decorated en suite (one cock with a repair to top) half-stocked in walnut and cut with chequering at the grip, vacant oval escutcheon on the butt, steel trigger guard decorated with scrolling foliage, fitted with a captive ramrod beneath: in an associated lined and fitted case with all accessories including small pistol flask, bullet mould, oil bottle etc.
