An Untouched Queen Anne by R. Harvey, Circa 1720. With two-stage turn-off cannon barrel, engraved at the breech with a band of scrolling foliage, stamped with London proofs and Harveys own barrel smith mark, signed ROB T HARVEY underneath the pan, line engraved action with foliate decoration throughout, foliate engraved tang and screw, (tiny crack on the neck of the cock) swelling walnut butt with raised mouldings around the tang and lock, silver foliate side-plate, vacant silver escutcheon with silver grotesque mask, with fixed trigger guard decorated with simple line engraving on the bow (small chip to guard - see photographs).
