With browned swamped barrel engraved ‘London’ along the top flat and stamped with London proofs and barrel smiths mark ‘WS’ plain tang, signed plain lock, full-stocked in walnut with plain brass mounts including long-eared butt cap, trigger guard and ramrod pipe with original brass tipped ramrod. A beautiful pistol in completely untouched condition. 


W. Shepherd 

Son of William Shepherd. Apprenticed to Abel Williams in 1760; free of Gunmakers Company., 1767. Elected Assistant, 1774 and Master in 1781, 1782. Also served as an Ensign in the Honourable Artillery Company., 1773. Retired in 1798.
