A ‘Sleepy’ 1801 Pattern Flintlock Sea Service Pistol, With plain browned barrel stamped with inspection marks and Tower proofs, barrel tang stamped with crown inspection mark, flat border engraved lock with ‘GR’ crowned and ’TOWER’ across the tail, and struck below the pan with crowned broad arrow mark, ring necked cock, full-stock with raised apron around the tang, profusely stamped with inspectors marks, regulation brass mounts, iron belt hook and brass tipped ramrod, the pistol in overall sleepy, untouched condition. A superb pistol.
