An Untouched Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by Ketland & Co. With three stage cannon barrel turned and belled at the muzzle and stamped with London proofs and Ketlands own barrel smiths mark,fitted with folding bayonet beneath, foliate engraved tang, signed, stepped lock, half-stocked in walnut with raised moulding around the tang, foliate engraved mounts comprising butt and trigger guard, with side mounted ramrod. In completely untouched condition, the brass is now black.

Succeeded by James Ketland. It is not clear which members of the family constituted this firm whose name with London appears on many export guns and locks. At least one directory entry shows W. Ketland & Co. at 23 Abchurch Lane, 1800.
