An Incredibly Scarce Double Barrel Percussion Howdah Pistol by H. Holland of London. With browned octagonal barrels connected by a sighting rib, signed ‘H. J. HOLLAND KING ST HOLBORN LONDON’, foliate engraved breech, steel tang cut with a sighting groove and decorated with scrolling foliage throughout, border engraved stepped locks, profusely decorated with scrolling foliage and signed towards the top of the lock, cocks decorated en suite, full-stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grip, with horn fore-end cap, engraved steel butt-cap with trap, border engraved trigger guard, decorated with foliate scrolls on the bow and pineapple finial (retaining much original finish) blued ramrod pipe with captive steel ramrod.
