With hemispherical skull formed in two pieces joined medially along the crest of a low comb, fitted at the brow with a broad, flat obtusely-pointed peak bearing traces of a makers mark and supporting on its underside a triple-barred face-guard, at the nape with an obtusely-pointed one-piece neck-guard embossed to simulate four lames and punched '21', and at each side with a later pendent scutiform cheek-piece, the main edges of the helmet formed with plain inward turns (pitted throughout, small chips at the front behind the peak)

Exterior Marks: There appears to be two marks on the peak. One is an indistinct armourers mark, the other appears to be a ’T’ Recorded as the mark of Richard Taylor in the second list of marks in Guildhall. No further information is available on him. 

Interior Marks: XX batch marks on all internal parts, skull, peak and tail. There appears to be two marks on the peak. 

The breastplate of heavy one-piece construction formed with a medial ridge, a V-shaped waist-line, a raised neck-opening and a short outward-flanged lower edge, each side of the chest fitted with a stud for the attachment of a shoulder-strap, and one-piece backplate formed with an upstanding neck-opening and outward-flanged lower edge, and fitted with scaled shoulder-straps and waist-belt, the centre of the neck-opening struck with the maker's mark 'SK' and the cross of St George, the main edges of the armour decorated with plain inward turns and its surfaces retaining the greater part of a black from the hammer finish: on a wooden stand.
