A 17th Century English Hanger, With slightly curved single edged blade, double edged towards the tip, cut with three long, narrow fullers and engraved with the running wold, which has been inlet with gold, and engraved with the date 1553, iron hilt with doun-turned shell guard decorated with foliage, D-shaped knuckle-guard with mushroom pommel and wire-bound grip.
