An Early Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by J. Shorey, Circa 1690-1700. With two-stage barrel flared at the muzzle, octagonal breech becoming polygonal, stamped with London proofs and Shoreys barrel smith mark, plain tang, plain signed lock, figured walnut full-stock (some cracks commensurate with age) brass butt-plate nailed into the stock, beautiful serpent side-plate with original hanging loop, steel trigger guard, replacement ram-rod. Of small size overall.
