An 80 Bore Irish Percussion Box Lock Turn Over Pistol, by W & J Rigby, circa 1840. With round turn-off barrels each engraved with lines at each muzzle, struck with Dublin registration mark, DU4292, and numbered respectively 3 and 4, characteristic scroll engraved box lock action, signed DUBLIN to the right in gothic script and W & J RIGBY to the left, scroll engraved hammer, beautifully engraved thumb piece safety catch, folding trigger, flattened chequered figured walnut butt with vacant silver escutcheon, the stock stamped II, a nice example.
