With straight double edged blade bearing the running wolf mark on both sides and stamped ‘MEFECIT SALINGEN’ on both sides, stamped at the forte with blade smiths mark and the Amsterdam town mark, iron hilt comprising down curving quill with large button finial; bilobate guard, the plates pierced with small circular and larger star-shaped holes (one replaced); thumb ring, fig-shaped pommel, grip retaining the original wrapping of plaited and twisted iron wire with iron wire turk’s heads.
