A Very Rare 18-Bore 1833 Pattern Manton Carbine, Dated 1835. With plain sighted barrel and tang, the former with hook breech, the latter incorporating the grooved back-sight, dated border engraved flat bevelled lock finely engraved with 'WR', a crown between, over 'Tower', and with safety-catch,converted to percussion, figured full stock (minor bruising), the butt stamped with Board of Ordnance ownership mark above 1836. on one side, regulation brass mounts including trigger-guard with scroll tang, flat fore-end plate and trumpet-shaped forward ramrod-pipe, stirrup ramrod, and in fine condition overall, Ordnance view and proof marks.
