A Scarce Thames River Police Sword, With slightly curved single edged blade, cut with a long deep fuller along the back edge, double edged towards the point, stamped at the ricasso with crowned inspection mark, solid brass hilt, contained in its original leather scabbard with brass locket and chape. The Thames River Police Sword was adopted by The Metropolitan Police in 1829.
