With blued round rifled barrel of target weight, the central rib along the top matted over the forward 1/3 of the barrel, stamped ‘WHITWORTH PATENT’ and ‘.450’ Birmingham proofs and Serial number, ’4572’. Ladder back-sight and two folding leaf sights marked ‘200’ and ‘300’ with engraved steel hinged breech section, signed ‘MANUFACTURED BY WESTLEY RICHARDS’ signed engraved bolted lock dated with the Westley Richards triangular trademark at the rear, figured walnut half-stock (possibly re-stocked) chequered pistol grip with engraved steel cap, chequered fore-end, with hinged butt trap, plain steel butt cap, engraved steel trigger guard and horn fore-end cap.
