With straight double edged blade of diamond section (which flattens slightly for its middle half) with spear point blade, retaining about 75% blue & gilt, right & left flat decoration is identical, simple floral pattern; pre 1801 Royal Arms; "FOR MY COUNTRY AND KING” in a floral display; trophy of arms, all edged in a gilded band, gilded hilt, knuckle bow of rectangular section, reeded ivory grip, cushion shaped pommel, cross-piece with side ring and five-ball hilt with curved quillon, scabbard restored, original gilt brass locket, band and chape, the locket and and band each with one carrying ring, the locket engraved ‘Davies St. James Str’.


Davies was at No. 10 St. James Street 1793 - 1801.
