A Highly Unusual Pistol-Grip Hanger, circa 1630. With curved single-edged blade, double edged towards the point, cut with two long fullers on each side running almost the entire length of the blade, Stamped ‘INN DOMINI’ inside the fullers, steel hilt formed with down-turned shell-guard and thumb-loop with scrolling quill, plain steel knuckle-bow and pommel ca with polished wood grip. A scarce and unusual example.
