A Superb Pair of Double Barrel Percussion Howdah Pistols by John Witton. With browned sighted barrels with foliate engraved case-hardened breech blocks with single gold-line decoration, foliate engraved tangs retaining all original case-colour hardening, signed back-action locks decorated with scrolls of foliage, full stocked in walnut cut with chequering at the grip (one pistol has a small crack at base - see photographs) engraved blued steel mounts case hardened butt caps with traps, foliate engraved trigger guards with pineapple finials, steel ramrod pipes and blued captive ramrods: in their original lined and fitted case with all accessories, fitted with an unusual carrying handle to the rear. A superb set.
