An Early Brass-Barrelled Flintlock Blunderbuss by Moore, Early 18th Century. With three-stage barrel flared at the muzzle, octagonal breech becoming polygonal, plain tang, plain signed lock, highly figured full-stock, brass mounts including plain butt-plate secured by iron tacks, simple brass trigger guard and turned brass ramrod pipe, wooden ramrod with brass tip. A superb early blunderbuss in lovely untouched condition.

William 1 Apprentice to John Silke, turned over to William Bolton, 1664; free of Gunmakers CO., 1673. Proof piece, 1677. Elected Assistant, 1697; Master 1702. Gunmaker to Ordnancem 1678-1715.
