A Cased 4” Colt Pocket Revolver, No: 100768 for 1855. With octagonal sighted barrel, stamped ‘ADDRESS SAM COLT NEW YORK CITY’ with five-shot cylinder engraved with stage coach hold up scene and stamped ‘100768’, the pistol has matching serial numbers throughout, the frame is stamped with patent dates and the calibre, silvered trigger guard and back-strap, with pin and notch hammer sight. In its original case with accessories.
The pistol retains 98% of its silver and 80% case colours. The bore is mint. 45% of Colt pockets made were with the 4” barrel.
