A Silver Mounted Flintlock Officer / Duelling Pistol by Wagdon of Birmingham. With sighted octagonal barrel signed ‘Wagdon London Gun Maker To his Majesty’ stamped with Birmingham proofs at the breech, single gold line and gold touch hole, tang with standing rear-sight engraved with stands of arms and foliage, stepped, bevelled lock fitted with sliding safety catch, gold lined pan, full stocked in walnut cut with bands of chequering to the grip, hall marked silver mounts comprising tear-dropped shaped butt cap, trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms on the bow and pineapple finial, with turned ramrod pipes, hallmarked for Birmingham 1797/8 CF.
