A Silver Inlaid Blunderbuss by J & W Richards. With three-stage octagonal to round barrel stamped with London proofs at the breech, fitted with a sprung bayonet above, plain tang with sliding bayonet retaining lug, stepped, signed bevelled lock fitted with sliding safety catch, full stocked in walnut (working life repair to fore-end) inlaid with scrolling silver wire around the tang, beautifully engraved brass furniture comprising butt plate, engraved with a stand of arms, trigger guard with acorn finial and turned ramrod pipes. Of small size overall.
