A Signed Wakazashi, Circa 1570 to 1620. With slightly curved single edged blade, signed Bishu Mihara ju Masasada (Masasada of Mihara in Bishu province). The sword fittings are Edo period, finely decorated crayfish, the scabbard lacquered in Abilene shell and mother of pearl. A very attractive example.
