A Scarce S-Bar Hilted Sword, Possibly Grenadier Guards, Circa 1800. With curved single edged blade double edged towards the point, cut with a long deep fuller running almost the entire length of the blade, and decorated in blue & gilt with the Royal Cipher and an Officer, Signed within an oval ‘WOOLEY & DEAKIN’ and ‘WARRANTED’ retaining 60% of its original blue and quite heavily pitted throughout, stirrup hilt with scrolling side bars, ribbed wooden grip retaining all of its original wire, with a gold sword Knott (a later addition) in its original brass mounted leather scabbard (some tears and nicks but overall in good condition).
