A Scarce French Naval Percussion Pistol, With round barrel, stamped ‘1716’ towards the breech, tang stamped ‘M 1837’ plain back-action lock signed ‘Mre Rle de Chatellerault” half-stocked in walnut stamped again with ‘1716’ (cracked through at the butt - old repair) brass butt-cap, trigger guard and barrel band, fitted with steel belt clip.
