A Fine 17th Century English Walloon Sword. With straight double edged blade cut with a long, deep central fuller running almost the entire length of the blade, characteristic hilt composed of flattened rounded bars with two sideguards, each with an insert finely pierced with concentric large and small holes and surrounded by a chevron band and retaining traces of gilt decoration, the D-shaped knuckle guard reinforced with two scrolling bars to either side, faceted pommel retaining traces of gilt decoration, wire bound grip with Turk's heads.
