A Scarce 1788 Pattern Light Cavalry Sword, With slightly curved single edge blade, double edged towards the point, cut with a long central fuller running almost the entire length of the blade and a narrow fuller running along the back edge. The back edge of the blade is stamped with the markers name and date, ‘WOOLEY - BIRMm 1793’. Regulation steel hilt with D-shaped knuckle guard and langets, ribbed wooden grip, in its original steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
