With browned sighted octagonal barrel, signed in script, ‘John Manton & Son Dover Street, London’ profusely engraved breech plug, with engraved platinum vent, profusely engraved tang incorporating rear-sight, border engraved lock decorated with scrolling foliage throughout and signed, ‘JOHN MANTON & SON PATENT’ long nosed cock decorated en-suite, half-stocked in walnut and cut with fine chequering at the grip, with engraved rectangular escutcheon, profusely engraved steel mounts comprising butt cap, trigger guard and ramrod pipes. In superb condition overall, retaining original brown to the barrel and all metal areas retaining most original finish.
