A .577 Snider Carbine from Annesley Hall. Of regulation pattern, with round sighted barrel, lock stamped ’TOWER 1862’ and with a crown at the tail, three-quarter stocked in walnut, with regulation brass mounts comprising butt plate, trigger guard and for-end cap, missing ram-rod. This example has a silver escutcheon at the wrist bearing the crest of the ‘Chaworth-Muster’ family.

The previous owner bought this gun in 1972 when the new owner of the hall carried out internal refurbishment.
