A Crisp 22 Bore Percussion D.B. Pistol by Mills & Son. With sighted browned double barrels, signed in full along the central rib, ‘MILLS & SON MAKERS 120 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON’ foliate engraved breech with single gold line, profusely engraved tang and screw, border line engraved back action locks, signed in full, decorated with foliage and fitted with sliding safety catches, cocks decorated en suite (one has small loss) full-stocked in walnut, the grip cut with very fine chequering (small crack) with engraved steel mounts comprising foliate engraved butt cap and trap, border engraved trigger guard decorated with a foliate spray on the bow, plain ramrod pipes and captive ramrod.
