A Wilkinson ‘Pattern’ 1897 Sword. With dumb bell blade etched with scrolling foliage and ER II cipher, etched with Wilkinsons makers information along with ‘PATTERN’ on the blade, regulation plated hilt with ER II cipher, wire bound fish skin covered grip, with sword knot, in leather bound field scabbard.

Possibly a ‘PATTERN’ sword manufactured for design approval.
