A Pair of 16-Bore Percussion Officers Pistols by Prosser of London. With large, round sighted barrels, signed ‘Charring Cross London’ along the top flats, converted to percussion, foliate engraved breech blocks, foliate engraved tangs, fitted with standing back-sites, border engraved locks, fitted with sliding safety catches and decorated with sprays of foliage, full-stocked in walnut, cut with characteristic chequering at the grips, fish-tail style butts, engraved steel mounts comprising foliate engraved butt-caps, trigger guards decorated with stands of arms on the bows and with pineapple finials, captive ramrods. A good pair by a famous maker.
