A Pair Of Flintlock Officers Pistols by Wallis of Hull, Circa 1800. With browned barrels fitted with fore-sights decorated with bands of foliage at the breech, elaborately decorated barrel tang, fitted with back-sight, signed stepped border engraved locks, fitted with 'French style' cocks, full stocked in walnut, cut with chequering at the grips, vacant oval escutcheons, steel mounts throughout, comprising engraved trigger guards with martial trophies on the bow with pineapple finials, turned ramrod pipes and horn tipped ramrods.

Made box-lock flintlock pocket pistols with silver butt caps, and three-barrel flintlock coach pistols with single hammer and pan, barrels rotated by hand. On some of his pieces the under spring bayonet was released by sliding back the trigger guard. Shop at Hull, Yorkshire.
