A Pair of Flintlock Saw-Handled Officers Pistols by Allport. With re-browned sighted barrels, breech blocks with single platinum lines and platinum touch holes, both with a poincon inlet in the top stamped, ‘THOS ALLPORT’, beautifully engraved barrel tangs incorporating back-sights, stepped, bevelled locks, decorated with scrolling foliage and sunbursts, cocks decorated en suite, half-stocked in walnut cut with a band of chequering at the grips, engraved steel mounts comprising trigger guards decorated with shields and scrolling foliage and pineapple finials and engraved ramrod pipes (all steel parts have an old refinish), horn tipped ramrods. In an associated red felt lined case with some accessories, including powder flask, bullet mould etc.
