An 1846 Pattern Naval Officer’s Sword. Blade by Gieves, the blade etched with scrolls, crowned fouled anchor and royal cypher, regulation gilt hilt with lions head pommel, wire bound fish skin grip, in its engraved gilt mounted leather scabbard with two suspension rings, complete with sword knot with gold and blue cord and acorn. The folding guard is engraved, 'R.W. Kego RN'.
