With tapering double edged blade engraved with a cluster of crosses followed by the numbers 1, 5 and then the running wolf, 5 and 1 and finally another cluster of crises (some parts of the engraving faint on one side- see blade pictures) blackened iron hilt, the solid guard chiselled with radiating foliage, knuckle guard flanked by two diagonal bars chiselled with foliate designs, the top of the side bars and the knuckle bar screwed to the globular pommel chiselled en suite, with pain tang button, spirally grooved wire-bound wooden grip complete with original Turks-heads.
