A Good Pair of Percussion Pocket Pistols by Richards of London. With round turn-off barrels, decorated with foliage at the breech, stamped below with Birmingham proofs, engraved box-lock actions, signed ‘LONDON’ within an oval to the right and ‘RICHARDS’ within an oval to the left, fitted with sliding safety catches, chequered walnut butts with vacant diamond shaped escutcheons. In good clean order.

Shops  in Strand, London and Birmingham. Under Royal Government contract made screw barrel flintlock pocket pistols for the Inland Revenue Services. These were marked on the barrel "I.R.S.," also made flintlock holster pistols for this service. For civilian sale made cannon barrel Queen Anne-type of flintlock pocket pistols and cased flintlock travelling and duelling pistols. Also made bell muzzle flintlock pocket pistols with under spring bayonets.
