A Good Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Tatham, London. With round turn-off decorated with a geometric band at the muzzle and towers the breech, stamped below with Birmingham proofs, profusely engraved box-lock action, no visible screws, a sign of real quality, fitted with sliding thumb piece safety catch, slab sided walnut grip, vacant escutcheon. Traces of original finish.

Gunmaker & Swordmaker Cutler, 37 Charing Cross, 1800-33 (in partnership with Joseph Egg as Tatham & Egg at same address, 1801-14). Also at 60 Frith St., Soho, 1805-8. Supplied Ordnance with Malaysian Cresses [Kris] 1801; presentation rifles for Indian Chiefs, 1816. Died 1835.
