An 8-Bore Volunteer New Land Pattern Pistol, Circa 1810. With round barrel stamped with Birmingham proofs at the breech, plain tang, border engraved lock with crowned GR and struck with makers initials I.A. signed ‘TOWER’, full-stocked in walnut (old repair to ramrod channel), struck with unusual marks at the grip, they are what appears to be a crowned I D, with regulation brass furniture including butt-plate, side-plate and trigger guard.
