A Flintlock Pocket Pistol by Wheeler of London, Circa 1800. With round turn-off barrel stamped below with London proofs, line engraved brass action signed ‘Wheeler’ in script on one side and ‘London’ on the other, figured walnut butt.

Shop in London. Made box-lock flintlock pocket pistols with under spring bayonets, and flintlock duelling pistols. Also made brass barrel flintlock blunderbusses. Under Royal Government contract made flintlock holster pistols and musketoons. Had a contract with the Hudson's Bay Company for flintlock trade muskets.
