With sighted octagonal barrel retaining original brown, (some areas of pitting) stamped ‘LONDON’ along the top flat, profusely engraved tang incorporating back-sight, signed, stepped, bevelled lock fitted with safety catch, decorated with stands of arms at the tail and sun-burst near the pan, full stocked in walnut with oval white metal escutcheon, engraved with a stags head and ‘5’ (suggesting this pistol was part of series of pistols or garniture?) cut with deep chequering at the grip, trigger guard engraved with stands of arms on the bow and stylised pineapple finial, turned ramrod pipes and brass tipped ramrod with worm.
