A Flintlock Mail Coach Pistol by J. Harding. With round brass barrel signed, ‘J. HARDING BOROUGH LONDON. D’ and stamped with London proofs, engraved around the muzzle, ‘For His Majesty’s Mail Coaches’ plain steel tang, stepped, bevelled lock, signed J. HARDING fitted with sliding safety catch, figured walnut full-stock, with rounded butt, brass mounts of regulation type, with scrolling side-plate, butt cap and trigger guard, original horn-tipped ramrod with worm.
