A Flintlock Blunderbuss by Henshaw of London. With swelling steel barrel engraved ‘LONDON’ within a border and stamped with London proofs, fitted with an underslung bayonet, released by a small trigger and original steel ramrod to the side, foliate engraved tang, signed stepped lock fitted with a sliding safety catch, half stocked in walnut, cut with a band of chequering at the grip, engraved steel mounts comprising butt plate engraved with foliage, trigger guard with stylised floral finial and foliate engraved fore-end cap. An unusual blunderbuss.
